The Arul Family Foundation
Arul Family Foundation (AFF) is a Christian Out reach Ministry. We are focused on providing assistance to those in need to survive. We are dedicated to taking care of orphaned children in India, Africa, Guatemala and Haiti and in other countries in the world in need, with God as our foundation and Jesus Christ as the cornerstone.
Serving those most in need in our local, national and global communities. We will be mindful of his example in serving the basic educational, housing and employment needs of the most vulnerable, we will be good stewards of the funds given us to manage and will contribute our talents and other resources to benefit others as he dreamed of. Our family is strongest when we work together to help others. Thus, we commit our time, talent and financial resources to serve those less fortunate than us.

We work with the community and the local government to increase the number of children attending school, especially the orphaned and vulnerable, to improve the quality of the education they receive. We support education at different levels:

There are many orphans and vulnerable children who do not finish Primary School, yet the time comes when they need to support themselves, and many times also their younger siblings. We now have the materials needed to teach carpentry, and some materials for teaching tailoring as well.
Help the children with uniforms and shoes; and give general encouragement to the staff as they work with the children. We also work with the schools, the community, and the local government to assess the reasons why girls in our area are doing worse than boys, and to help improve the situation for girls in school so more girls will be accepted into school.
Many orphans and vulnerable children have no hope of furthering their education because families are not able to pay the fees for these schools. To help with this situation, AAF will help pay for secondary school fees for approximately 70 orphaned and vulnerable children.
We work with the community and the local government to increase the number of children attending school, especially the orphaned and vulnerable, and to improve the quality of the education they receive while there.
There are serious economic barriers to be overcome in the communities where we work, so food and livelihood security is integral to our ministry. To get to the root of many of these issues it is important to address issues of the heart, so there is a strong spiritual component to our development efforts. We see our role at AFF as empowering people to make better lives for themselves and their entire community.
